This year we have selected a premium extra virgin oil of excellent quality from the Cretan Olive Mill, Almpantakis family, in Malevizi Province, Crete. The producer's vision, passion for quality and their product's exquisite taste lead us to add it in Maryó's basket and family of products.
0.2 premium extra virgin olive oil exhibits a gold-green color and rich aroma of fresh olives. Its rich fruity flavor combines harmoniously bitter and spicy notes and makes it ideal for any culinary endeavor. It can be equally enjoyed raw as well as cooked.
True to Maryó's principles, 0.2 premium extra virgin olive oil has the following characteristics:
Single Harvest: Never mixed with olive oil from previous harvests.
Single cultivar: 0.2 extra virgin olive oil is produced from a single cultivar of olives, the bespoken Koroneiki cultivar.
Cold extraction: During all stages of milling, the temperature is controlled and never exceeds the 26°C. Milling the olives so fresh, without heating the olive paste, results in an olive oil with minimum acidity levels (<0.2%) that maintains all its aromas.
Storage: After milling, the fresh olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks.
